Certification Committee
The Certification Committee is responsible for the certification and recertification process of all WBEs at the WBEA. Committee members are trained to be a part of this committee using the WBENC Standards and Procedures. Participation on this committee is by invitation only.
Corporate Advisory Committee
This committee is open to all WBEA corporate members. The purpose of the corporate advisory committee is to share knowledge and provide direction on supplier diversity trends and issues that impact the mission and programs of the WBEA.

Education Committee
This committee is open to WBEs and corporate members that wish to influence WBEA’s educational programs. Committee members help interview potential presenters, organize educational programs, and create opportunities for business development and member enrichment.

EXPO Committee
WBEA Expo: Connections is the largest event of the year. Considered the premier networking opportunity for women in business the expo attracts over 1300 people and focuses on connecting women business enterprises (WBEs) with corporate purchasers, government agencies, and other women-owned businesses for the primary purpose of creating connections and building strong business relationships. The committee is responsible for the development of the event theme, marketing the event, recruiting sponsors and attendees, developing volunteer schedules, as well as coordinating the logistics of the workshops, reception, luncheon, and tradeshow, all of which are a part of the two day Expo experience

Golf Committee
The Golf Committee develops one of the most popular, fun-filled events of the year! The Annual Golf Classic & Silent Auction serves as one of our primary fund-raisers, providing resources essential to the continued success of women- owned businesses. The golf tournament is a great day for enjoying the beauty of Houston in October while connecting and networking with Corporate members and other WBEs.

Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for assisting the organization and production of WBEA events. This committee meets, as needed, prior to our quarterly luncheons, breakfast, Speed Coaching, Ask the Pros workshop, Expo, Golf tournament and Holiday mixer, to assist with the creating and packing of event materials. Committee members are also asked to participate in the set up and production of events day of. This committee also meets post event to discuss the event and give feedback in hopes of continually improving the value of WBEA events. Committee members may also be involved in the creation and development of new events.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is the first line of contact with potential and new WBEs and Corporate Members! The Membership Committee directly contributes to the growth of the organization through one of our three sub-committees: Recruitment, Retention, and New Member Orientation. Committee members are responsible for contacting new members, and have additional networking opportunities to meet Corporate members when they hold their semi-monthly “Meet and Greet” immediately after our New Member Orientation.

PR/Marketing Committee
The PR/Marketing Committee meets monthly and is responsible for spreading the word about the advantages of WBEA membership, both to your members and the Texas business community. This committee helps market our business opportunity breakfast, networking luncheons, and the holiday party. They are also asked to represent WBEA at some community events when available. Committee members are asked to help promote participation in WBEAs newly released online blog. Within the PR/Marketing Committee is the Newsletter Sub-Committee which is responsible for recruiting sponsors, collecting information, as well as the creating and production of our bi-monthly newsletter.

The Forum
The Forum is the ‘think tank’ of the organization, formulating and assessing additional programs that would give every WBEA member more value to their membership.
