Susan M. Repka has served in many capacities within Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance for over 14 years. She served as the Certification Manager, beginning in 2001, where she led the certification process of all women business enterprises (WBEs).In 2005, Susan was named Assistant Director in addition to her duties as Certification Manager until 2007, when she began Executive Director. She currently serves on the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s Board of Directors, the Advisory Boards of the Texas Business Alliance and the Houston Area Score.
 
Since serving as Certification Manager, the organization has grown from 200 members to more than 700 to date.  Considered an expert in the certification, Susan pioneered some of the processes still used around the country. Prior to joining WBEA in 1997; Susan worked in the College of Business at Prairie View A & M University.
 
Susan lives in Hempstead, Texas and is happily married with two grown children, and proud grandmother to five active grandchildren.

Mariela Hernandez, Recently promoted to Director of Member Services at Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance, Mariela serves as the head of the Certification Department and works with business owners to help them become active in the WBEA.  She verifies that prospective members meet the requirements of WBEA membership, guides them through the details of the certification process, oversees the certification process and assures that WBEA meets the certification standards and procedures of our national council, WBENC.
She has been with the WBEA since August 2001, when she came on as the High School Intern. On a more personal note Mariela is married to Raul Hernandez and has three wonderful sons Armando, Eduardo and Alex.

Prior to joining Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance in 2004 Ingrid worked in the IT, Land, and Division Order departments of an Oil and Gas Company for more than 20 years. Upcoming join WBEA Ingrid served as the Office Coordinator, and was later promoted to Certification Assistant. Currently Ingrid serves as the Recertification Coordinator for WBEA where she works closely with WBEAs established membership as well as the Membership Committee, to oversee the retention of WBEAs 750 current certified women-owned businesses. Ingrid has one daughter, Adrienne, who is studying nursing at Prairie View A&M University.

Tanya Davis

Tanya has been an administrative professional for 10+ years with several well known and respected companies. She began as an employee with WBEA in August 2010 when she served as the certification assistant. In this position she worked closely with WBEs and assist them through the WBENC certification process. She is thrilled to work for an organization whose main focus is the advancement of women in business.

April Day, joins WBEA as the Director of the Houston Galveston Women’s Business Center, emerging as a leader in community development and grant management. April believes in service to others coupled with a deep rooted interest to change lives. Merging solid business practices with a transformational leadership style, April strives to increase the capacity of entrepreneurs. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Management with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
