CVS Health Supplier Qualifications Requirements


CVS Health Supplier Diversity Office in partnership with the Women's Buisness Enterprise Alliance is inviting General Contractors, Maintenance, and Repair Serivces Contractors to participate in this business and networking opportunity event.  Candidates that meet the qualification requirements may have the opportunity to meet with decision makers in a private one-on-one meeting enviornment to discuss opportunities. 




Qualifications for General Contractors: 


  1. Has your company been in business for at least 5 years?

  2. Is your company publicly traded?

  3. Has your company ever filed for bankruptcy protection? If yes, please be prepared to discuss additional details.

  4. Will your company be performing work, current or in the next 12 months for competitors (Walgreens, Rite Aide or Wal-Mart Express)?

  5. If "Yes" to the question above, please be prepared to provide additional comments as to which vendors you are currently or potentially will be performing work for in the next 12 months.

  6. Has your company been audited or has your financial statements been reviewed by a Certified Public Accountant?

  7. Can your company meet our obligation of $3,000,000.00 of insurance per project?

  8. For a General Contractor, you must meet the minimum insurance limits as stated in a standard CVS contract, i.e.:

    •    Contractors shall maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance with a limit of not less than $3,000,000.00 ($5,000,000.00 for projects situated in New York State) per occurrence and $5,000,000.00, and $1,000,000.00 for property damage in the aggregate. Products/completed operations coverage shall be maintained for a minimum period of two (2) years from the date of completion of the project. Policy limits must be per project and defense costs must be outside of and not deplete policy limits. Contractor shall be responsible for all deductibles. Deductibles shall not exceed $50,000.00 per project. Contractor shall also maintain Commercial Automobile Liability insurance with combined single limit of not less than $2,000,000.00 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.

  9. Do you have physical assets such as equipment,or an office?

  10. If "Yes," be prepared to speak and provide additional information.


Qualifications for Contractors of Facility and Repair Maintenance Services 


  1. Has your company been in business for at least 5 years?

  2. As a facilities maintenance service provider, our Master Service Agreements require that you must meet the minimum insurance limits as stated in a standard CVS contract, i.e.:

    •   During the terms of this contract, Vendor shall, at own expense, carry and maintain: Commercial Umbrella and/or Employers Liability Limits of no less than $1,000,000.00 each accident for bodily injury and $1,000,000.00 each employee for bodily injury by disease, Commercial General Liability (CGL) and/or Umbrella Liability insurance written on ISO Occurrence, $4,000,000.00 General Aggregate and $4,000,000.00 Products Completed Operations Aggregate, and Automobile Liability and/or Umbrella Liability insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each accident.
