Grand Opening: Houston Galveston Women's Business Center

Houston – May 19, 2011 – Women owned businesses are the fastest growing business segment in the country.  To assist these new women business owners, the Women Business Center will provide business services and financial assistance to empower women towards entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency.  The WBC will be a learning hub assisting with government grants, computer skills and additional information to make each business a success. 

 

The Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA) in collaboration with Childbuiders and Houston Community College is pleased to announce the ribbon cutting for the newly established Women’s Business Center (WBC).  The WBC will provide technical assistance to entrepreneurs, both nascent and established in the Houston and Galveston areas in the areas of finance, management, marketing, and other areas as need. 

 

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for June 8, 2011 at the Women’s Business Center located at 9800 Northwest Freeway, Suite 120.   Scheduled to attend are Susan Repka, Executive Director, WBEA; Trish King, Executive Director, ChildBuilders; Katy Butterwick, Director of Development, Houston Community College; Jackie Broussard, Great Ideas Process, Yolanda Garcia Olivarez, Regional Administrator Region 6; Small Business Administration; Ana Recio Harvey, Assistant Administrator Women’s Business Ownership; Small Business Administration; Ana Ma, Chief of Staff, Office of Women’s Business Ownership, Small Business Administration; and Manuel R. González, District Director, Houston District Office, Small Business Administration.  Join us as we impact the Houston and Galveston economies through the growth of small businesses and provide Childbuilders programs in local schools.
