At our last WBEA Forum meeting, Phyllis Graham, with Continental Airlines, presented the monthly Straight Talk corporate presentation.  It was interesting to hear the "do’s" and "dont's" from the Supplier Diversity Program Manager of Continental Airlines.  I personally took four pages of notes and received a wonderful handout from Phyllis. Those of us who were present are now much more versed on  “how to get known” within the corporation we would someday like to do business with when the opportunity arises.

And even more good news was the networking that went on with the WBEs following the Straight Talk session.  Success stories were shared by many.  We learned what other fabulous women do and who would be a good client for them.  We even had an issue on the table which we will discuss at the next WBEA Forum meeting on Tuesday March 20th. The topic is our WBEA website.  
 
The March 20th meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Straight Talk presented by ExxonMobil.  Following the Straight Talk session, we will begin our networking, share successes, discuss the issue on the table and determine if there are  any other issues to put on the agenda for the next meeting.  
 
After the Forum meeting, the Forum Focus Group will meet. The Group will take the issue and the solutions suggested, create a plan of action to disseminate the message to the appropriate parties and determine a follow-up plan to bring to you at the April meeting.
