One of the benefits of being a WBEA is that every WBE is a member of the Forum (formerly WIC).  The mission of the Forum is to promote, translate and advocate the needs, issues and benefits of women’s business enterprises and to facilitate corporate and supplier business opportunities for WBE members of WBEA.  We are the voice of Women Business Owners.
 
As a member of this committee you have the opportunity to voice your opinion on what WBEA can do to help you succeed in your business and voice your opinion on what WBEA is currently doing that you would like them to continue.

The Forum also has a Forum Focus Group comprised of 11 WBEs who work closely with the following committees CAC, Education, PR/Marketing, Events, the Board of Directors and the staff of WBEA to ensure your voice is heard, successes are shared and issues are addressed.

To maximize the effectiveness of the Forum, we as WBEs must be involved and active. The third Tuesday of every month there will be a Forum meeting from 2:00 until 3:00.  Prior to the meeting there will be a Straight Talk meeting from 1:00 until 2:00. This month, Phyllis Graham, from Continental Airlines, will be giving the presentation.  The straight talks are designed to give insight into a featured company's procurement practices and also give insight into the industry trends. These two hours once a month will give you the opportunity to learn more about working with corporations, to network with other WBEs, to share your successes, and to bring ideas and concerns to The Voice of WBEs. 

The Forum has exciting plans to capitalize on opportunities and benefits for WBEs.  Let your Voice be heard!  We look forward to seeing and hearing from you Tuesday, February 19th from 1:00 to 3:00 for Straight Talk and the Forum meeting.
