ABOUT WBEA
Janaury 08 Luncheon

The WBEA January luncheon was another great inspiration.  I was both moved and in awe at the challenges that some of these women have faced and overcome.  I could obviously see that many of the attendees were enthralled at hearing what these courage women had been through and how successful they are now. I wanted to see what some of the speakers felt and here’s what they told me:

“The WBEA has created yet another brilliant way to connect women with opportunities.  After telling my story, comments were made to me to let me know that the audience could feel my passion for doing business, through the good times and challenging times.  An absolutely brilliant way to connect WBE’s with corporate members!” said Lisa Phillip, President of Hybas International.

“I was nervous at first but I reminded myself, as I looked out at the audience, that these are good women like me doing good business with good people and then I began to relax. The warm reception and friendly smiles only validated that I was in the right place.” said Kimberly McLea, President of Greater Houston Livery.

When Steve Dukes of Center Point was asked what he felt about the luncheon, he stated “The January luncheon panel discussion of WBE’s was again this year captivating. No doubt we’re hearing some of the nation’s best business survivor stories right here in Houston”.

I don’t think there is anything more to say, than if you were not there, you missed a wonderful fellowship of woman fighting the obstacles and succeeding in living their dreams.  You might want to try harder to be there next time!
