Join us as speaker Adriana Fernandez, shares her economic forecast and speaks to issues pertinent to women business owners. Ms. Fernandez is an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Branch Houston. Her main research interests lie in the field of monetary policy and currency crises, where she has worked on topics such as the effectiveness of defensive monetary policies in the face of currency attacks, and the implications of institutional quality in the effectiveness of central banks’ policy actions. Her current research concentrates on the effects of globalization in the regional Gulf Coast economy.
Trudy C. Nix is the Houston area Market Executive for Business Banking for Bank of America and will discuss “What You Should Require from Your Banker”. Ms. Nix is a Senior Vice President and has worked for Bank of America for over 27 years in North Carolina, Florida and Texas. Her responsibilities have ranged from Consumer Banking, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Marketing, Private Client Group and Business Banking. Her group is responsible for sales and service for businesses entities; medical practices and professional firms with annual revenues between $2 and $20 million.
